Day 1: Fly to Arba Minch – Dorze Village & Scenic Views

Fly from Addis Ababa to Arba Minch. Visit the Dorze tribe, famous for their distinctive beehive-shaped bamboo houses and the preparation of kocho, a traditional false banana bread. From the Gamo Hills, enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view over Lake Abaya and Lake Chamo.

Day 2: Lake Chamo Boat Safari – Drive to Konso (100 km)

Start the day with a morning boat trip on Lake Chamo, where you can spot some of the largest Nile crocodiles in Africa, hippos, and a variety of aquatic birds. After the boat ride, drive to Konso, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Explore the fortified stone-walled village and learn about the Konso people’s terrace farming techniques and their vibrant cultural landscape.

Day 3: Drive to Turmi – Heart of the Omo Valley

Drive to Turmi, the cultural center of the Hamar people and a gateway to the untouched tribal cultures of the Omo Valley. Enjoy the scenic drive and rural landscapes.

Day 4: Omorate & Dasenech Tribe – Visit Hamar Village

In the morning, drive to Omorate and cross the Omo River by canoe or bridge to visit the Dassanech tribe, known for their fishing, hunting traditions, and semi-nomadic lifestyle. In the afternoon, visit a Hamar village, where you may witness the famous bull-jumping ceremony, a rite of passage, and admire their distinctive hairstyles and body adornments.

Day 5: Tribal Market Visit – Drive to Jinka

Drive to Jinka, stopping along the way at a vibrant tribal market, where different ethnic groups such as the Tsemay, Ari, and Benna gather to trade goods and socialize. This is an excellent opportunity for cultural encounters and photography

Day 6: Mursi Tribe & Mago National Park

Drive through Mago National Park to visit the Mursi tribe, renowned for their unique tradition of lip plates and body scarification. Learn about their customs and interact with the community in a respectful manner.

Day 7: Fly to Addis Ababa – Farewell Dinner & Departure

Fly back to Addis Ababa. Enjoy a traditional farewell dinner with live cultural music and dance, then transfer to the airport for your international departure.
